HALSEY – A1092966
Gone - 10-13-2016 Manhattan
***GONE 10/13/16***HANDSOME HALSEY is a 4 month old striped brown tabby with big yellow eyes! This cutie was found as a stray and brought to the shelter in search of his very own kitty angel. HALSEY curls himself in a little kitten ball and meows as if to say, “I’m scared!” But he calms down and allows himself to be pet. This sweet guy is young and with some socialization and TLC, he would make a great pet in an experienced pet home with no children. HALSEY is really hoping he won’t be killed at the shelter tomorrow. He’d rather be playing with some kind humans! Please rescue handsome HALSEY TODAY!!!

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Halsey looks tense, crouched position by the front of the cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Halsey retretas to the back, hissing, alert with eyes wide open. Reaction to touch: Halsey stress meows and hisses at the assessor’s hand, but when touched he tightly curls up in place and remains wary with his surroundings. Placement determination: Experience / no child Halsey tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
