When Gray stone and the dog interacted they were relaxed and respectful. Gray stone has never been around other cats. Gray stone is also good with strangers. Reaction to assessor: Gray Stone was ignoring the assessor and facing the wall When spoken quietly: Gray Stone looked at the assessor with wide nervous eyes Reaction to door cage opening: Gray Stone remains motionless Reaction to touch: Gray Stone allows petting with a slow approach. He starts to warm up and walk towards the assessor for attention Try picking cat up: Gray Stone is tolerant of this type of handling but tense. Behavior Determination: Experience Gray Stone was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment she was displaying nervous behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes alert when the kennel was open. Remains motionless as I started to get closer but after a steady slow approach using soft voices he relaxed a little. I was able to pet him and interact with him in a limited way. I was also able to pick him up and although he was tense no fractious behavior was display. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
