Medical Summary Microchip: negative Sex: intact male Age: appx 5y+ Mentation: QAR, slight dehydration (prolonged turgor and tacky mm) Eyes: clear Ears: clean Nose: no d/c Teeth: moderate staining If abnormal BCS: underweight, prominent hip points and easily palpated ribs Skin: prolonged turgor but WNL Hair Coat: dull, undergroomed Declawed: no Any injuries: right side of face from clavicle and lateral neck to distal zygomatic arch and most of mandible has an old wound/ulcerated abscess, only a sheet of dermis left with most musculature exposed, myiasis within Behavior: sedate, allowed all handling, painful but friendly and did not resist Medication: Capstar to help maggots, DVM rec baytril 22.7mg/ml (0.86ml BIDx10d), amoxi/clavamox (1.19ml BIDx10d) and buprenorphine (0.22ml BIDx10d); preventatives withheld due to NPO for debridement and explore
