Medical Behavior Evaluation BLUE
Medical Summary 04/28/16 13:34 Scan negative Sex female Approx 4 yr S/O: BAR, attempted to flee. Driver reported wound as a result of a dog bite wound as reported by called. Sedated w/ 0.1ml telazol IM for complete exam. Open fracture of distal tibia and fibula, complete luxation of coxofemoral joint. One puncture wound on medial aspect of thigh, one closed scab on lateral aspect of high. Purrulent exudate draining from medial wound. Skin is edematous w/ erythema, and warm to the touch. A: Open tibial fracture, coxofemoral luxation, presumptive dog bite wound based on provided history w/ concurrent infection and cellulitis. Caller reported incident earlier in the week, wound appears at least 4-5days old. P: Amuptation would be required should be performed ASAP. Shelter conditions and resources are not suitable for medical management of injury for duration of stray or DOH hold. Profound pain, suffering, possible sepsis and death may occur. Recommend EHR due to poor medical condition and prognosis without immediate amputation, hospitalization and IV antibiotics. EHR w/ 1ml euthasol IV.
