***SAFE 10/16/16*** BEGINNER RATED DASH NEEDS YOU TONIGHT TO GIVE HIM A FREEDOM RIDE OUT OF THE ACC!! DASH is a super sweet 4 year old fella who is already neutered. He was found by someone who noticed how friendly he was and they took him to the ACC. Sadly the only thing the ACC did for him is give him the dreaded shelter cold and now have listed him to die for it! A volunteer writes: This dashing young man is dressed in a fine tuxedo. He gives gentle head butts to show his affection for people he meets. Dash is very outgoing and would be perfect for even beginner-level cat parents. It’s time to dash off to the shelter to see this handsome, friendly face and to take him home forever. DASH got the highest BEGINNER rating for being and expert head-butter and was very affectionate on his assessment! He even was purring while he was picked up and held. Sounds like DASH is a keeper !! PLEASE HURRY AND SAVE THIS WONDERFUL CAT’S LIFE. CONTACT A RESCUE NOW TO PULL HIM TO SAFETY!

10/05/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – BEGINNER
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Dash was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. His finder stated he was friendly and he allowed to be handled upon intake. He became nervous during his initial medical exam, however, and started to hiss and growl when restrained. The enrichment facilitator reports he was sweet, social, and relaxed during their first interaction, leaning in for petting. He continues to display attention-seeking behaviors during his stay in the care center and was reported to be very friendly. Reaction to assessor: Dash was calm, relaxed, and friendly by the front. Reaction when softly spoken to: Dash chirps and rubs his entire body on the cage door, soliciting attention. Reaction to cage door opening: Dash greets the assessor by the front. Reaction to touch: Dash head-butts vigorously and would twirl around in a circle, just to head-butt again. He purrs loudly, leans in for more petting, and is very affectionate throughout the interaction. Reaction to pick up: Dash remains calm during pick up and continues to purr when held. Behavior Determination: Beginner Dash interacts with the observer, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat can go to a beginner home.
