10/02/16 12:08 Finder did not handle animal as the animal was in a trap. Behavior during intake: Cupcake was running around the trap during intake. I Was able to transfer from trap to den without any issues. When I approached the den, Cupcake started to hiss and swat. I was not able to scan for a mc or collar but was able to take a picture.

Cupcake came to the shelter as a stray, so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies in a home environment. Upon intake, Cupcake swatted and avoided handling. Reaction to assessor: Cupcake is hiding in his den. Reaction when softly spoken to: Cupcake peeks out from den. Reaction to cage door opening: Cupcake retreats back into den. Reaction to touch: Cupcake shifts away to avoid touch, hisses, goes to bite when touched. Placement Determination: New Hope Only Cupcake does not approach the assessor, avoids petting and does not allow handling. Cupcake is exhibiting behavior suited to rescue partners.
