11/26/16 19:51 Basic Information Conchi is an approximately 2 yr old domestic short hair mix. She is being surrendered because the owner has become allergic to him. He was given to the owner as a gift from a family member. Socialization Around strangers, Conchi is Friendly and outgoing. He has lived mostly adults and a 5 year old child in the home; he plays gently with adults and children he does not know. He has lived with a small Yorkshire terrier mix and a Large pit Bull, they all got along well, she played gently with the yorkie and is relaxed and affectionate towards both of the dogs. Behavior Conchi has never had any litter box problems and uses the litter box daily. Conchi has never given her a bath or had his nails trimmed. She enjoys brushing, does not mind being held put in a carrier or disturbed while sleeping or resting. For a new family to know The owner describes Conchi as friendly and affectionate. She has a Medium activity level. Conchi loves to eat and sleep most of the day. Around the house, she follows everyone around and prefers to be in the same room as the rest of the family. She has never played with any cat toys but likes to play with string. She sleeps mostly indoors in a separate room in the house. Conchi was being fed Kibbles and Bits brand dry cat food 2 times a day. Conchi uses a covered litter box with clumping cat litter every day and never has accidents. Behavior during the intake During intake, Conchi was somewhat tenses but allowed all handling. She allowed to be scanned (-), Pictured and collared. She allowed to be transferred into a kennel.

Former owner stated around strangers, Conchi is friendly and outgoing. He has lived mostly adults and a 5 year old child in the home; he plays gently with adults and children he does not know. He has lived with a small yorkshire terrier mix and a large pit bull, they all got along well, she played gently with the yorkie and is relaxed and affectionate towards both of the dogs. Also, described as friendly and affectionate with a medium activity level. Reaction to assessor: Conchi looks neutral, lying down by the front when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Conchi retreats to the back, alert with ears flat down and eyes wide open. Reaction to touch: Conchi avoids contact then hisses and swats at the assessor’s hand. Placement determination: NH ONLY Conchi is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room. She is stressed in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
