10/30/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Cinq was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in a previous home. Reaction to assessor: Cinq was lying on his blanket, motionless but alert, with his body pressed hard against the rear wall of the cage. He made direct eye contact and hard blinked. Reaction when softly spoken to: Cinq remained motionless, stared and hard blinked. Reaction to cage door opening: Cinq remained motionless but his body posture tensed further and his eyes focused on the opening. Reaction to touch: Cinq hissed and swatted. He didn’t allow any touching. Behavior Determination: New Hope Only Cinq is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and may require further investigation before placement in a home. He is extremely fearful in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time
