11/07/16 20:19 Basic Information: Chloe is a domestic short hair cat who was surrendered due to her previous owner not being able to find a new home that allowed pets. Socialization: Around strangers Chloe is friendly and plays gently with adults and children. Chloe has lived with children ages 13 and older, around them v is relaxed and playful. Chloe has lived with one other cat who she was relaxed and affectionate towards. Chloe has also lived with two large dogs that she would hiss and hide from. Behavior: Chloe has never bitten or scratched another person or animal. Chloe will meow and cry when riding in a car. Chloe’s previous owner did not attempt to give her a bath so it is unknown how she will react to those events. Chloe is not bothered by having her nails trimmed or being disturbed while she is resting. Chloe enjoys being brushed, picked up/held, and placed in a carrier. For a new Family to Know: Chloe is described as friendly, affectionate, playful and confident with a high activity level. When at home Chloe will play with balls, string and catnip toys. Chloe was kept indoors only and fed dry food on an open feeding schedule. Chloe is litter box trained and uses a covered litter box with clumping litter. Chloe uses a horizontal scratching post made of carpet. Intake Behavior: Chloe allowed staff to collar, scan for a microchip and take pictures with no signs of aggression

Chloe is friendly and plays gently with adults and children. She lived with children ages 13 and older and was relaxed and playful with them. Chloe lived with another cat and was relaxed, affectionate towards him. She also lived with two large dogs that she would hiss and hide from. Chloe enjoys being brushed, picked up/held, and placed in a carrier. Her owner describe her as friendly, affectionate and playful with a high activity level. Reaction to assessor: Chloe was spread out and relaxed on her blanket with her paws folded under her body. Reaction when softly spoken to: Chloe stretches out then comes forward and slowly rubs up against the kennel door. Reaction to cage door opening: Chloe seems unsure and moves back when the door opens. Reaction to touch: Chloe leans away and seems unsure when the assessor extends his hand out. She warms up very quickly when pet, leans in for rubs on her cheek and allows petting all over her body. After a couple soft passes she starts to chirp and solicits attention. Reaction to being picked up: Chloe was a bit tense when picked up, remained calm when held then leaped back into the kennel. Behavior Determination: Average Chloe interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
