I came in the shelter as a OWNER SUR on 11/07/2016 from NY 11417, owner surrender reason stated was MOVE2PRIVA. I came in with Group/Litter #K16-080780.

11/17/16 S/O: BAR. Food appears untouched overnight EENT: Moderate seromucoid nasal discharge A: URI, hx of anorexia P: Rec doxycycline 1.7ml po q24 x 10 days. Continue to monitor while at BACC. Will give additional mirtazipine if inappetance continues 11/16/16 Recheck appetite. O: BARH. Sitting at front of cage seeking attention. Ate overnight. mm=pink, moist, CRT<2 s. EENT: No oculonasal discharge. No sneezing or congestion. A: Appetite improved. P: Continue to monitor while at BACC. Excellent prognosis. 11/15/16 S/O: QARH. Allows all handling. Several varieties of foods, all untouched EENT: Eyes clear, no ocular or nasal discharge A; overweight, anorexic P: gave mirtazipine 1/4 tab po. recheck tomorrow. consider full cbc/chem if inappetance continues good prognosis at this time

11/07/16 20:19 Basic Information: Oreo is a domestic short hair cat who was surrenderd with his housemate Chloe due to his previous owner not being able to find a new home that allowed pets. Socialization: Around strangers Oreo is friendly and plays gently with adults and children. Oreo has lived with children ages 13 and older, around them Oreo is relaxed and playful. Oreo has lived with one other cat who he was relaxed and affectionate towards. Oreo has also lived with two large dogs that he as friendly toward Behavior: Oreo has never bitten or scratched another person or animal. Oreo will meow and cry when riding in a car. Oreo’s previous owner did not attempt to give him a bath so it is unknown how he will react to those events. Oreo is not bothered by having his nails trimmed or being disturbed while he is resting. Oreo enjoys being brushed, picked up/held, and placed in a carrier. For a new Family to Know: Oreo is described as friendly, affectionate, playful and shy with a high activity level. When at home Oreo will play with balls, string and catnip toys. Oreo was kept indoors only and fed dry food on an open feeding schedule. Oreo is litter box trained and uses a covered litter box with clumping litter. Oreo uses a horizontal scratching post made of carpet. Intake Behavior: Oreo did nto allow staff to collar him or take his picture on the backdrop. Oreo began to hiss and growl after his owner placed him in his carrier.

Oreo is friendly and plays gently with adults and children. He lived with children ages 13 and older and was relaxed and playful with them. Oreo lived with another cat and was relaxed, affectionate towards him. He also lived with two large dogs that he would hiss and hide from. Oreo enjoys being brushed, picked up/held, and placed in a carrier. His owner describes him as friendly, affectionate and playful with a high activity level. Reaction to assessor: Oreo lying down on his side at the front of the kennel, watching the assessor with relaxed eyes. Reaction when softly spoken to: Oreo reaches out with paws towards the assessor then gently head butts the kennel door. Reaction to cage door opening: Oreo is calm and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Oreo chirps then gently leans in and brushes up against the assessor’s hand. He allows petting all over, is very affectionate and rolls over on his side when rubbed on his cheeks. Reaction to being picked up: Oreo was a bit tense when picked up, remained calm and allows all handling Behavior Determination: Beginner Oreo interacts with the assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. No known history of behavioral problems. This cat can go to a beginner home
