Chloe came to the shelter as a stray, so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies in a home environment. Upon intake, Chloe did not allow handling. Reaction to assessor: Chloe is at the front of the cage, tense. Reaction when softly spoken to: Chloe hisses at the assessor. Reaction to cage door opening: Chloe retreats to the back of the cage. Reaction to touch: Chloe moves away to avoid being touched and attempts to flee cage. Placement Determination: New Hope Only Chloe does not approach the assessor, appears nervous, and does not allow handling. Chloe is exhibiting behavior suited to rescue partners.
