11/22/16 16:29 Finder did not have any interaction with animal as it was in a trap. Behavior during intake: Animal was nervous and trying to hide in the den. I was able to transfer without any issues. Once in the den, animal went to the back and was shaking. I was able to touch animal but could not get out of the den to collar.

Chester came to the shelter as a stray, so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies in a home environment. Reaction to assessor: Chester is lying in the back of her cage. Reaction when softly spoken to: Chester looks at assessor with wide eyes. Reaction to cage door opening: Chester is tense, motionless. Reaction to touch: Chester moves away to avoid being touched. Placement Determination: Experience No Child Chester does not approach the assessor, appears tense and nervous, and avoids most handling. Chester is exhibiting behavior suited to experienced cat parents with no children who can allow her appropriate adjustment time to a new home environment.
