Reaction to assessor: Chester was resting at the front of the cage When spoken quietly: Chester turns, faces the assessor and starts to head butt Reaction to door cage opening: Chester remains soft & relaxed Reaction to touch: Chester solicits petting and attention Try picking cat up: Chester is tolerant of this type of handling. Behavior Determination: Beginner Chester was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment he was displaying friendly behavior, comes to the front of the kennel, interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. Chester is displaying behavior appropriate for a beginner cat owner.
