***SAFE 08/01/16*** A TRIO OF SUMMER STRAYS DUMPED AT THE ACC!! MAGGIE, CHARLIE & SNICKERS are part of a larger group of cats trapped and left at the ACC. All three are EXPERIENCE or EXPNOCHILD rated…. MAGGIE is actually a boy kitten and CHARLIE gave birth to kittens that are just a day old and the ACC is not listing them just HER….These are three, very scared cats who need TLC, time and patience and they will blossom. But the ACC is not going to give any of these three time to flower! They are listed with 31 other cats who also need homes and since it’s summer, people are not stepping up!! IF YOU CAN HELP ONE OR MORE OF THIS TRIO, PLEASE APPLY TO FOSTER OR ADOPT NOW!! They will not be “instant” cats but they will be cats who are worth the effort if someone will try!! …… If you need help with FOSTER or ADOPTION questions, email us at [email protected]

07/26/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Charlie does not come to front but remains neutral When spoken quietly: Charlie does not come to front but remains neutral Reaction to door cage opening: Charlie remains motionless Reaction to touch: Charlie leans away and looks at the opening of the cage Try picking cat up: Did not attempt due to Charlie possibly attempting to flee Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Charlie was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment she was displaying fearful behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes alert when the kennel was open. Remains motionless as I started to get closer. I was also able to pet her and although she was tense no fractious behavior was display. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents with no children.
