This little guy was a STRAY, but a well-groomed STRAY, si it’s very possible he just lost his way from home. He’s scared and needs an EXPERIENCED person with no kids. You’ll have your hands full with this BABY anyway! PLEASE offer to FOSTER OR ADOPT this kitten and save one of the 36 lives that are at stake tonight!

Charcoal came to the shelter as a stray, so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies in a home environment. Upon intake, kitten was nervous and attempted to flee. Reaction to assessor: Charcoal is at the back of the cage, hiding behind the litter box. Reaction when softly spoken to: Charcoal is pressed against the cage back. Reaction to cage door opening: Charcoal remains stiff, tense. Reaction to touch: Charcoal is tolerant of petting but remains tense. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Charcoal does not approach the assessor, appears nervous, and is tolerant of limited handling. Charcoal is exhibiting behavior suited to experienced cat parents with no children who can allow the kitten appropriate adjustment time to a new home environment.
