09/02/16 10:45 Cat Stevens A1088321 is a 3yr old male black & white DSH feline who was found wandering a lot/yard by a cat lover who feels bad when they spot cats on the street. The finder stated a friend of theirs told them about Cat Stevens being in the yard of their complex for a few days and they’ve been feeding him. Cat Stevens was meowing when found & allowed handling. The finder was able to place Cat Stevens into a trap they had and brought him into our BXAC. During intake Cat Stevens allowed all handling. He allowed to be scanned (-), collared & taken pictures of. Cat Stevens just laid in place as I took his picture. He was then picked up/held and placed into a kennel with ease.

09/06/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Cat Stevens looks neutral, sitting upright on his cage bedding when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Cat Stevens remains in place, alert with normal shape eyes. Reaction to touch: Cat Stevens allows the stroke on the head, but along the body he becomes agitated to the touch and began to hiss and swat (no claws) at the assessor’s hand. Placement determination: Experience/no child Cat Stevens tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
