Safe - 3-17-2016 Manhattan Rescue: Feline Rescue of SI Please honor your pledges: http://felinerescueofstatenisland.org/donation/
***SAFE 03/17/16***CACEY and 11 other cat’s were found in an empty dwelling after their owner died. CACEY is the only one listed tonight but the others will surely follow suit if they are not rescued! CACEY is just a year old and she must be scared out of her mind after being ripped from her large cat family. The person who saves this girl should be EXPERIENCED with NO children. Offer to FOSTER or ADOPT CACEY and perhaps one or two of her house mates! They need each other and shouldn’t be punished just because they had the poor fortune of their owner dying!

03/15/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Cacey looks tense in the cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Cacey remains at the back of the cage sitting upright, alert with pupils dilated. Reaction to touch: Cacey attempts to escape the cage, but once she hides in the cat den she then stiffens up in place and accepts the stroke. Placement determination: Experience / no child Cacey tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
