FELV POSITIVE
Bowser A1067597 – 4 yr. male Himalayan, stray
Upon intake Bowser was calm and had a relaxed body, he allowed all handling. Counselor was able to collar, scan (negatve) and photograph.

Sweet. Comes forward. Allows all handling. Head butts hand. Tail up. Soft body when held.
MEDICAL:

S/O: QAR, APP ++. Normal urine and stool in litter box. NO ocular or nasal discharge
Marked dark debris AU – ear mites found 3/14 and treated. Ear canals thickened, stenotic.
Marked dermatitis on chin, cheeks, facial folds. Much scabbing, some hair loss on chin
FeLV positive on SNAP, FIV SNAP negative
A: FeLV, dermatitis, ear mites. Ddx pyoderma vs atypical appearance of dermatophyte/fungal infections, feline demodecosis, self-trauma. – Likely related to immunocompromised status.
P: Cleaned face w/ dilute chlorhexidine, administered 0.36ml Convenia SQ, cleaned ears again, applied Mometamax.
Recommend NH plea and placement with rescue. Dermatologic diagnostics including impression smear, skin scrape, cytology, fungal culture, etc would be indicated due to appearance of dermatitis.
Prognosis: Poor.

Ear:ear mites positive,cleaned ears by ear cleasing solution and applied revolution
teeth : gingivitis,moderate staining and tartar
Dermatitis around the face,eyes and lower jaw
flea negative
friendly and allowed to handling during examin
