R = eupneic
BCS 5/9
EENT: Eyes clear, ears clean, no nasal discharge noted
Oral Exam: kitten dentition, no oral lesions noted
PLN: No enlargements noted
H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupneic, sterterous breathing
ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated
U/G: FI, no MGTs, no vulvar d/c
MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, healthy hair coat
CNS: mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities
Assessment:
Sterterous breathing with no nasal or ocular d/c r/o URI vs polyp
Plan: Continue to monitor while at BACC
Start doxycycline 10mg/kg PO SID x10d until 7/22-if no resolution of sterterous breathing do a sedated polyp check (currently scheduled to do when she is spayed)
Prognosis: Excellent
SURGERY: ok to schedule for surgery
