BEEGEE – A1078094
Safe - 7-1-2016 Brooklyn Rescue: Feline Rescue of SI Please honor your pledges: http://felinerescueofstatenisland.org/donation/
**SAFE 07/01/16** Brought to the ACC by someone who “found” him, BEEGEE was well-mannered while also feeling completely terrified. Read his intake medical notes, which show that he tried to run away from the forceful strangers who were pinning him to the examination table, but notice that he was NEVER aggressive toward them. Factor in that he is described as having been “friendly” and that he earned an EXPERIENCE rating, and BEEGEE sounds more and more like someone’s “lost” pet. Except, BEEGEE isn’t truly “lost,” because everyone looking at his thread knows exactly where he is. This guy is AT the ACC, he can be reserved by an adopter online, or he can be foster/adopted through a New Hope partner tonight. The question is not WHERE this guy is, but WHO will step up for him? BEEGEE needs one special hero to save him tonight!

06/22/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: BeeGee does not come to front but remains neutral When spoken quietly: BeeGee does not come to front but remains neutral Reaction to door cage opening: BeeGee starts to meow at the assessor nervously Reaction to touch: BeeGee leans into touch and allows all petting but remains wary of the front Try picking cat up: BeeGee is tolerant of this type of handling but tense. Behavior Determination: Experience BeeGee was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment he was displaying fearful behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes alert when the kennel was open. Remains motionless as I started to get closer but after a steady slow approach using soft voices he relaxed a little. I was able to pet him and interact with him in a limited way. I was also able to pick him up and although he was tense no fractious behavior was display. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
