***SAFE 10/22/16***BAY BAY KID IS FELV POSITIVE… THAT SHE CAN LIVE WITH, ALONG WITH THE RIGHT CARE. BUT SHE HAS FOUND MORE PROBLEMS AT THE END OF THE ROAD! BAY BAY KID is just a year old and she is SPAYED, but her legs need to be checked out by a competent vet! She has a fracture on her left demure, her right leg may be paralyzed but she’s been immobile and the ACC isn’t the best at vetting, even in a good situation. FELV cats can live with dogs, who can not ” catch” it, live with other FeLV kitties or be an only cat! Because of her LEGS, she really needs someone with a quiet, childless home. BAY BAY KID has a few obstacles to hurdle but once her legs are well she should be in good shape! Offer to FOSTER OR ADOPT this girl, and get her well, loved and appreciated!

10/19/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Bay Bay Kid was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. Reaction to assessor: Bay Bay Kid was curled up at the back of the kennel with her head facing the wall. Reaction when softly spoken to: Bay Bay Kid presses her body against the wall and avoids eye contact. Reaction to cage door opening: Bay Bay Kid remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Bay Bay Kid is hesitant of contact and leans away when the assessor extends her hand out. She lip licks, starts to breathe heavily and flinches when touched. She tolerates petting but is very uncomfortable and started to urinate when touched along her body. Please note that this cat has a severe medical condition so we may not be seeing any true behavior and behavior may change when the cat’s medical condition improves. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Bay Bay Kid tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
