BANKS – A1076792
Safe - 6-22-2016 Brooklyn Rescue: Amsterdog Please honor your pledges: http://amsterdog.org/donate/
**SAFE 06/22/16** POOR BANKS WAS TRAPPED AND DUMPED WITH HER SIBLING AND NOW SHE IS THE FIRST TO BE FACING EUTH ON FRIDAY!! BANKS and her sibling BROOKS A1076791 who is not listed tonight were most likely minding their business when someone who just doesn’t like cats around, trapped both of them. It was said that they came in the shelter overnight so we know it was someone who just was out collecting their “catch” of the night and depositing them at the shelter. BANKS is only 2 yrs old and may be someone’s lost or abandoned pet because it’s funny that her sibling is a neutered boy! BANKS needs a place to decompress – she got an EXPERIENCE rating because she did allow handling and some petting but is stressed and tense in the shelter environment. Someone who has a soft kind heart can easily turn BANKS into a little purr-bug!! BE A HERO TONIGHT AND GIVE BANKS A CHANCE TO LIVE! CONTACT THE HELP DESK FOR RESCUE INFO AT [email protected] NOW!! AND DON’T FORGET POOR BROOKS! HE NEEDS OUT TOO!

06/13/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Our enrichment facilitator has interacted with Kanga and at the time he was nervous at the back. Banks lip licks when pet and turns towards the wall. Banks raises rear when pet on back. He turns and makes eye contact while meowing softly. Reaction to assessor: Banks was at the back of the cage watching the assessor When spoken quietly: Banks continues to watch the assessor from the back of the cage Reaction to door cage opening: Banks remains motionless Reaction to touch: Banks seems indifferent to my presence at first but warmed up and allowed petting Try picking cat up: Banks is tolerant of this type of handling but tense. Behavior Determination: Experience At the time of the assessment Banks was displaying fearful behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes alert when the kennel was open. Remains motionless as I started to get closer but after a steady slow approach using soft voices she relaxed a little.I was able to pet her and interact with her in a limited way. I was also able to pick her up and although she was tense no fractious behavior was display. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
