BAJA – A1072973
Gone - 5-13-2016 Brooklyn
**GONE 05/13/16** BEAUTIFUL BAJA IS A SENIOR LADY IN NEED….No one ever spayed poor BAJA and now she has developed mammary tumors. BAJA is @13 (possibly older) and so very fearful at the shelter. Her profile says she was a stray, which may or may not be true or she may be a neglected pet, even her nails were embedded when she came in……BAJA NEEDS A PLACE TO BE LOVED FOR WHATEVER AMOUNT OF TIME SHE HAS…..Removal of the tumors and a spay may give her additional time. But she needs someone who knows what the score may be and is willing to give her love and safety. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN SAVING BAJA, PLEASE CONTACT THE HELP DESK AT [email protected]

Baja tolerates petting with a scratcher and raises head. Baja allows petting with slow approach. Reaction to assessor: Baja does not come to front but remains neutral When spoken quietly: Baja hisses at the assessor Reaction to door cage opening: Baja remains motionless Reaction to touch: Baja tolerants petting with a very slow approach Try picking cat up: Did not attempt Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Baja was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment she was displaying fearful behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes alert when the kennel was open. Remains motionless as I started to get closer. I was able to pet her and interact with her in a limited way. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents with no children.
