Bailey came to the shelter as a stray, so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies in a home environment. Upon intake, Bailey was vocal and allowed all handling.
Reaction to assessor: Bailey is lying in the middle of her cage.
Reaction when softly spoken to: Bailey looks at the assessor and meows loudly.
Reaction to cage door opening: Bailey remains motionless.
Reaction to touch: Bailey head-butts, leans into petting. Petting is not attempted on body due to matting.
Reaction to pick up: Bailey retreats, not allowing this type of handling.
Placement Determination: Average
Bailey does not approach the assessor but appreciates petting and attention. Bailey is exhibiting behavior suited to average cat parents.
