**SAFE 08/17/16** BABY GIRLS AT RISK! Meet KC and AUTUMN, two 5-month-old baby girls who were taken to the ACC from a hoarding case, along with multiple other cats. These girls are dealing with the stress of so many changes pretty well, showing the flexibility and intelligence which is natural to poised kittens. KC earned a BEGINNER rating, AUTUMN earned an EXPERIENCE rating, and both girls should grow into lovely companions. If they get the chance to shine, KC and AUTUMN will be the superstars of their new foster/adoptive homes. Make sure they get than chance by advocating widely on their behalf, tonight!

08/02/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Autumn was surrendered to the care center by her previous owner, but we have limited information on her behavior in her previous home. Autumn has been a bit timid but generally easy to handle since intake. During her behavior evaluation Autumn was tense, hiding behind the litterbox throughout, though she did allow gentle pets on the head and body. Reaction to assessor: Autumn is in hier cubby, lying behind her litterbox, body tense. Reaction to cage door opening: Remains in place, still. Reaction to touch: Autumn allows gentle petting on the head and body and begins to lean in, but remains behind the litterbox. She does not relax, approach, or solicit attention. Placement determination: Experience Autumn tolerates attention and petting but appears to be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and overwhelmed by the environment. Her previous owner also describes a fairly independent and timid cat. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents who will allow her to adjust to her new home and new family at her own pace.
