***GONE 09/08/16**NEW HOPE RESCUE ONLY***Ang is a 2 year old domestic cat who needs an understanding person in his life. He was found as a stray and the ACC didn’t go out of its way to showcase this poor boy. The only photo of him is going from one carrier to another. Not much help when he needs someone to take an interest in him. He is also rated New Hope Rescue only because he hissed and growled at the assessor. Please give this lost boy a chance at finding happiness by applying to a New Hope partner to foster or adopt him tonight!

09/03/2016 PET PROFILE MEMO
09/03/16 18:10 Behavior During Admissions: Ang was brought into our care center as a stray. She was moved from her previous carrier into a new one, which she entered on her own. When the counselor attempted to open the carrier once more to scan for a microchip Ang began to hiss, show her teeth, and attempted to claw at the microchip scanner. The counselor gave her some time to recuperate but upon a second attempt Ang exhibited the same behaviors such as hissing and clawing. So as not to stress her out any further the counselor decided to forego putting on the collar, scanning for a microchip, and taking a photo.

09/07/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Ang was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. Reaction to assessor: Ang was hiding in his feral den at the back of the kennel. Reaction when softly spoken to: Ang hisses at the assessor and has wide eyes focused on all movements. Reaction to cage door opening: Ang remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Ang hisses with ears bent flat and charges forward towards the assessor. He tries to swat and doesn’t allow any contact. Behavior Determination: New Hope Only Ang is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and may require further investigation before placement in a home. He has tried to swat and does not currently tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
