11/12/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Willow was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. Reaction to assessor: Willow was hiding in inside his feral den at the back of the kennel. Reaction when softly spoken to: Willow makes eye contact through the holes in the den but doesn’t get up or come forward when coaxed. Reaction to cage door opening: Willow remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Willow curls up tight and presses his body up against the back wall. His eyes widen, he flinches when touched then he stress meows and shifts away. His body is very tense, he seems uncomfortable and he hisses when he’s had enough. Behavior Determination: Experience No Children Willow tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
