*** SAFE 06/18/16 ***NEW HOPE RESCUE ONLY***MAMA TO BE ON THE LIST TONIGHT. Venice was brought into the ACC as a stray so not much is known about her just that she is very pregnant and alone. She’s a 4 year old tabby who’s feeling very FEARFUL at the shelter and just wants out for herself and her new family. The accessor stated in her intake notes that she allowed her head to be petted and accepted the little bit of kindness that they gave her. Please let her build a new life in a home where she belongs. Apply to a New Hope Rescue Partner to foster or adopt this needy mom-to-be tonight!

06/17/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Venice was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. Reaction to assessor: Venice was curled up at the front of the kennel. Reaction when softly spoken to: Venice meows softly and has wide eyes focused on all movements. Reaction to cage door opening: Venice remains neutral. Reaction to touch: Venice is hesitant of contact and flinched when I first pet her. It takes some time but she eventually warms up to contact. She raises her rear up when pet and lightly brushes against my hand for attention. Behavior Determination: Experience Venice may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
