Tuna was brought in without information on her behavioral tendencies in her previous home. She attempted to run and hide during intake and didn’t like being picked up. She was tense and nervous during her initial medical exam, but allowed the medical team to handle her. Reaction to assessor: Tuna was curled up by the back and her head was low. Reaction when softly spoken to: Tuna looks at the assessor and blinks softly. Reaction to cage door opening: Tuna remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Tuna head-butts lightly, leans in for petting, and begins to purr. She seems to appreciate chin rubs and will lift her head for scratches. Reaction to pick up: Tuna remains calm and looks around when held.
