***SAFE 04/20/16*** UNFAIR! Here is the reason petite Star is scheduled to die tomorrow, and it’s going to enrage anyone who loves cats. Ready? Here’s why: Star has been urinating outside the litterbox for a few months. Oh, and she scratches furniture. Now, there is NO mention of whether the person who received her as a GIFT, bothered to give her a scratching post and keep the litterbox clean By the way, her notes say she has been using the litterbox at the shelter WITH NO PROBLEMS. Liar, liar, pants on fire…..Given that this most recent owner may not have wanted a cat in the first place, it’s hard to imagine them really doing right by Star. Star is only ONE YEAR OLD, she has a lovely AVERAGE rating, and check out these volunteer comments: “A volunteer writes: Star’s previous owner said she is friendly, affectionate, and playful. She has been around children and played gently with them. She is friendly with strangers, has a high activity level, and followed her family around the house. Star needs a family that is able to work with her on her urination outside of the litterbox, which usually can be resolved. She has been using the litterbox at the shelter without problems. If you are looking for a wonderful lifetime devoted companion that will need a little help in the beginning, our sweet little Star is for you.” It will be a shame if Star is killed tomorrow because one person just got tired of having a cat. Advocate fiercely for Star, tonight!
