03/13/17 19:05 Basic information Squishy is a 4 year old calico colored DMH with no known medical conditions. Owner is surrendering Squishy along with his house mates because of a residential move. Socialization Squishy has lived with a child the age of 3 and was relaxed and affectionate with the child. Squishy played gently with children and adults. Around strangers Squishy is friendly and outgoing. Squishy has lived with other cats and dogs and was relaxed and affectionate and respectful of them. Behavior In car rides Squishy is quiet. Squishy isnt bothered when getting Bathes. Previous owner did not attempt to trim their nails. Squishy enjoys getting brushed and being picked up and held. Squishy isnt bothered when being placed in a carrier. For the new family to know Squishy was described as friendly affectionate and playful with a medium activity level. When home with Squishy she likes to be in a favorite spot of hers or in the same room. Squishy enjoys playing with a balled up piece of tinfoil and will play fetch with it. Squishy is litter box trained and uses an uncovered litter box with arm & hammer clumping litter. Squishy eats Purina dry food and usually has the bowl left out for her. Squishy has a scratching post made of carpet and wood that she likes to use but will also scratch on cardboard boxes. When its time for bed Squishy in dark spots of the house.

Other notes: Doesn’t mind being given a bath or being placed in a carrier. Enjoys playing with a balled up piece of tinfoil and will play fetch with it. Squishy has a scratching post made of carpet and wood that she likes to use but will also scratch on cardboard boxes. MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: Examined in net screaming tries to strike ENRICHMENT NOTES: 03/15/17 Meows upon approach and tail starts to quiver and sway. Comes to the front and leans against the cage door when softly spoken to. Sniffs my hand, but head-butts, leans in, and nudges for attention. Seems to appreciate petting, but seems cautious of surroundings. EVALUATION: Cage Condition: Cage slightly re-arranged Reaction to assessor: Squishy was vocal at the front of the kennel with her tail swishing back and forth. Reaction when softly spoken to: Squishy gently head rubs against the kennel door. Reaction to cage door opening: Squishy is eager to interact with assessor. Reaction to touch: Squishy leans in for attention, her tail thrashes and she allows petting all over. She’s very affectionate, constantly head butting and seeking attention. She gets distracted easily, her body tenses up and focuses on her surroundings occasionally. Reaction to being picked up: Squishy was a bit tense when picked up, started to whine but allowed all handling. ACTIVITY LEVEL: Lively, and another if applicable VOCAL: Somewhat chatty CHARACTER TYPE: Social, Sweet, Affectionate RECOMMENDATIONS: Experienced cat parent – Squishy may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
