Basic information
Joey is a 4 year old calico colored DSH with a possible gland condition. Owner is surrendering Joey along with his house mates because of a residential move.
Socialization
Joey has lived with a child the age of 3 and was relaxed and affectionate with the child Joey played gently with children and adults. Around strangers Joey is shy for a few minutes. Joey has lived with other cats and dogs and was relaxed and affectionate and respectful of them.
Behavior
In car rides Joey gets scared and will meow. Joey isnt bothered when getting Bathes. Previous owner did not attempt to trim their nails. Joey is ok with being brushed and picked up and held but will jump out of your arms after a few minutes Joey is scared of being placed in a carrier and will try to get away.
For the new family to know
Joey was described as friendly affectionate and playful with a medium activity level. When home with Joey she likes to be in a favorite spot of hers or in the same room. Joey enjoys playing with a balled up piece of tinfoil and will play fetch with it. Joey is litter box trained and uses an uncovered litter box with arm & hammer clumping litter. Joey eats Purina dry food and usually has the bowl left out for her. Joey has a scratching post made of carpet and wood that she likes to use but will also scratch on cardboard boxes. When its time for bed Joey likes to sleep in dark spots of the house.
