KNOWN HISTORY: Sammy was brought in as a stray so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. During intake he was calm and displayed relaxed behavior. MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: Very friendly and interactive EVALUATION: Cage Condition: Cage is neat Reaction to assessor: Sammy looks at the assessor with soft eyes and body. Reaction when softly spoken to: Sammy stands and comes to the front of the cage. Reaction to cage door opening: Sammy remains calm and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Sammy leans into the stroke and begins to purr. Reaction to being picked up: Not attempted due to medical condition. ACTIVITY LEVEL: Mellow VOCAL: Quiet CHARACTER TYPE: Calm, Sweet, Social BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Average Please note that this cat is being treated for a medical condition at the time of evaluation. It is difficult to determine at this time how the medical condition may be affecting the behavior. Sammy interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
