***SAFE 10/13/16*** MOM AND SON NEED YOUR HELP TONIGHT!! ROLO & TWIZZLER were brought into the ACC as strays. This adorable little family needs a foster or adopter to step up for them tonight. They are a little nervous and who can honestly blame them. They are stuck in small cages in a noisy environment and that is not the worst part. As we know if no one takes interest in helping ROLO & TWIZZLER they will both be killed. You have the power to stop this before it happens. CONTACT NEW HOPE RESCUES TONIGHT and be the hero this family needs.

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Rolo was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. Reaction to assessor: Rolo was sleeping on his blanket at the back of the kennel. Reaction when softly spoken to: Rolo’s ears perk up and he becomes alert. He curls his body up then lowers his head trying to avoid contact. Reaction to cage door opening: Rolo tenses up, squints then shifts away. Reaction to touch: Rolo lip licks and looks around nervously when the assessor extends his hand out. His body is tense and he flinches then hisses when petting on his head. After a couple of minutes of attention he relaxes a bit then leans in when rubbed on his cheeks. Reaction to being picked up: Rolo becomes very tense and struggles to be put down. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Rolo tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
