REXXIE – A1067710

**SAFE 04/05/16** DIGNIFIED! Meet REXXIE, a handsome guy who was found behind a building, and then brought to the ACC. Naturally, people who find cats never seem to think the cat might LIVE in the buildings nearby, quickly assuming cats like REXXIE are wanderers from far-off lands who, what…migrated to NYC on a cargo ship? Ridiculous! Anyway, this guy inspired GREAT staff comments and needs a FOSTER/ADOPTER to save his life, tonight! “A staff member writes, “Rexxie is the perfect gentleman, ready in his sharp looking black-and-white tuxedo to take his friends out for a fun night. Will that new friend be you? Rexxie came into ACC as a stray and so we don’t know too much about him; but we do know that he is a fun loving cat who is looking for a new home to call his own. He loves playing with his feather chase toys and cat nip, but is looking for a nice comfy bed in someones house to stretch out in; someone who can be patient and understand that he is nervous and needs time to warm up to any new, and quiet home. Will you be Rexxie’s hero? Come and see today.””

03/18/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Rexxie looks tense in the cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Rexxie remains sitting upright at the front of the cage, alert with eyes wide open Reaction to touch: Rexxie accepts a stroke, but began to flehman respond, grumble, and swat (no claws) at the assessor’s hand. Placement determination: Experience / no child Rexxie tolerates attention and petting but may be stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
