A volunteer writes: Church is a very friendly, affectionate and playful lady. She is very easy to handle, and she gets along well with both children and adults. Church is such a sweetheart that she’d make beginner cat parents feel like experts!
Church’s former owner stated she was friendly around strangers. She plays gently with adults. There are grandchildren that visit the home from the ages of 2-11 years old and Church is respectful of them. She plays gentle with them. Church has lived with her son and she was respectful of him. They play gentle and a little exuberant at times with one another. Also, described as friendly, affectionate and playful.
Reaction to assessor: Church immediately comes soliciting at the front of the cage.
Reaction to door opening: Church remains standing at the front of the cage, relaxed body posture, soliciting attention.
Reaction to touch: Church head-butts the assessor’s hand and appreciates petting on the head and body.
Reaction to Being Picked up: Allows the pickup and remains calm.
Placement determination: Beginner
Church interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting.
This cat can go to a beginner home.

BASIC INFO
Church A1067700 is an approximately 6 year old domestic shorthair cat. She was a gift to the owner from friends. Owner has had the cat for at least 5 years. Main reason for surender is that there is an allergic child to the cat. Church does not have any health concerns.
SOCIALIZATION
Church was friendly around strangers. She plays gently with adults. There are grandchildren that visit the home from the ages of 2-11 years old and Church is respectful of them. She plays gentle with them. Church has lived with her son and she was respectful of him. They play gentle and a little exuberant at times with one another. Church has never scratched anyone.
BEHAVIOR
Church does not have any behavior issues. She is very independent and grooms herself. She is not bothered if picked up or carried. Church is not bothered if placed in a carrier. Church is not disturbed if awaken.
FOR A NEW FAMILY TO KNOW
Church is best described as friendly, affectionate and playful. She has a medium activity level. At home she follows you around. Church enjoys playing with any cat toy. Church has been kept mostly indoors. Church sleeps on the floor or under the bed. She eats meow Mix dry food. Church uses a regular cat litter box with Fresh Step litter. She uses a leather sofa to scratch on.
BEHAVIOR DURING INTAKE
Church was head bunting and looking for attention. She allowed all handling, collaring and photos.
