KNOWN HISTORY:
Princessa’s previous owner had her for only a month, so there is limited information on her behavior history or tendencies in a home environment. She lived with 2 adults and 1 child during this time, and according to the owner, she will growl and hiss at strangers. Princessa has swatted at the owner’s 4 year old child after being approached by the child, but has not bitten a person or another animal. The scratch was not severe and Princessa did not display any further reaction afterwards. Princessa was reported to like sleeping on beds and couches.
MEDICAL BEHAVIOR:
Observed Behavior – Walked out of carrier. Tense
ENRICHMENT NOTES:
11/18/17
Calm and curious, she comes forward slowly when approached and sniffs through bars. Allows petting all over and gives head butts. She didn’t mind being picked up, remained calm in my arms. Enjoys tuna.
11/20/17
Lying in back of kennel with a relaxed body, ears forward. Tail is wrapped around feet. She chirps and makes eye contact when spoken to, then leans in for petting as my hand passes along her back. She stands up and comes forward with her tail raised to allow further petting, tilting her head down and giving me a gentle head-butt. Sweet girl, allowed all petting for the duration of the session. Did well today! Ate all treats offered.
11/22/17
At front of kennel as I approach, tail raised. She leans in for petting and allows touch all over. Purrs and makes eye contact. Loves treats and catnip. She remained calm and allowed all petting for the duration of the session. Doing well!
