S/O: QAR, epiphora, palpable submandibular LNs, serous nasal discharge and congestion.
A: URI
P: Move to ISO, start doxycycline x 10days
Newy was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. The finder found her in their backyard and she was relaxed and quiet upon intake. She allowed all handling throughout the intake process and during her initial medical exam.
Reaction to Assessor: Newy was calm, relaxed, and friendly by the front.
Reaction when softly spoken to: Newy sniffs around and presses her face onto the cage door.
Reaction to cage door opening: Newy remains soft and relaxed.
Reaction to touch: Newy head-butts lightly, begins to purr, and leans into petting.
Reaction to being picked up: Newy remains soft and allows all handling.
Placement Determination: Beginner
Newy interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat can go to a beginner home.
