Ebony A1062041 – 6 month old female black kitten
A volunteer writes: Ebony is the sweetest kitty you will meet. Tap on her window, she’ll lift her head and come running. Meowing for your love, just look into those cute kitten eyes and your heart will melt. She is full of energy and very playful, scratching her litter in her litter box with so much frenzy, the litter goes flying out of the box. So come stop by and come play with her, she just can’t wait.
Another volunteer writes: Ebony is a skinny little kitty with a big appetite, a playful nature and a sweet way about her. She probably got to be so thin by trying to survive on her own, but now that she’s being fed in the shelter, she is happy to gain a little weight and give some luster to her coat. She loves to play with toys and then take a warm nap in her cubby, but if you come calling, Ebony bounces right up as if to say, “did someone say party?” She is a lovely little bundle of fur, nice to pet and easy to get along with. And if you’re inviting Ebony to your party, make sure you have plenty of Fancy Feast on the table!
Reaction to assessor: Ebony does not come to front but looks at you calm and relaxed
When spoken quietly: Ebony comes to the front of cage soliciting attention
Reaction to door cage opening: Ebony remains soft and relaxed
Reaction to touch: Ebony solicits petting and attention
Try picking cat up: Ebony is tolerant of this type of handling
Behavior Determination: Beginner
Ebony was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment she was displaying friendly behavior, comes to the front of the kennel, interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. Ebony is displaying behavior appropriate for a beginner cat owner.
