BASIC INFORMATION: Nero is a 7 yr. old, black/white in color. Nero is a neutered DSH cat. He was found as a stray & has no known health issues. He has not been seen by a vet in the past year.
SOCIALIZATION: Nero is shy for a few minutes upon meeting strangers, but will warm up after a while. He has been exposed to children and he may hiss at first but will eventually calm down & become curious. Nero does not play with children & has resided with two other cats. He is relaxed and affectionate towards the other cats, while playing; he may play somewhat rough and may play bite. He has not resided with dogs or other animals. He has not bitten or scratched another animal or person within the past 10 days.
BEHAVIOR: Nero meows when he is in a moving vehicle. When owner bathed he the first time, he became very fearful & will flee. He is also scared when his nails are trimmed. He allows owner to brush his coat & place him inside of carrier.
FOR A NEW FAMILY TO KNOW: Nero is best described as an affectionate & talkative cat. Nero loves to cuddle. His activity level is high; he loves to play with the other cats in the home. One of the previous owner’s favorite traits about Nero, is he loves to sleep on owners chest. When owner comes home, he will sit on his owner. He enjoys playing with balls, catnip toys & feather wands. A family home with older children is recommended. Nero has been kept mostly indoors. He enjoys sleeping on owner’s bed. He enjoys eating wet & dry food. In the mornings Nero will eat a can from brand Friskies & at night dry food also from brand Friskies. He is litter box trained & uses clumping litter in an uncovered litter box. Nero scratches on rugs may need a scratching post made of carpet.
