I am a female org tabby domestic sh mix. The shelter thinks I am about 5 MONTHS old.
I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 11/13/2016 from NY 11233, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY. I came in with Group/Litter #K16-081378.

11/15/16 Check for URI S/O: Q/BAR, mild dehydration. Eating well. Normal urine and stool in litter. BCS 5/9 EENT: Eyes clear, conjunctivitis OU (R>L). mild mucoid nasal discharge. ears wnl H/L: Normal thoracic auscultation ABD: Normal abdominal palpation INTEG: wnl M/S: Ambulatory x 4, no apparent lameness, good bcs U/G: female A: conjunctivits, mild URI P: rec doxycycline 0.4ml po q24 x 10 days. excellent prognosis

11/13/16 20:23 Finder did not have any interaction with animal as it came into our facility in a trap. Behavior during intake: Animal was nervous and trying to run around the trap. Once in a den, animal went to the back, ear back body stiff and was attempting to flee when I tried to open den door. No handling allowed.

11/16/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – AVERAGE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Metropolitan was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. Reaction to assessor: Metropolitan was resting at the front of the kennel with paws folded under his body. Reaction when softly spoken to: Metropolitan wakes up, seems hesitant and slow blinks at the assessor. Reaction to cage door opening: Metropolitan slowly inches away. Reaction to touch: Metropolitan is hesitant when the assessor first approaches then opens up quickly when pet. She allows petting all over, gets up, raises her tail and purrs softly when rubbed on her head. She gives soft head butts and appreciates attention. Reaction to being picked up: Metropolitan was a bit tense when picked up but quickly relaxes and allows all handling. Please note that Metropolitan is being treated for an upper respiratory infection at the time of the behavior assessment. This condition may affect some of the behaviors shown during evaluation. Behavior Determination: Average Metropolitan interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
