KNOWN HISTORY: Maisy was brought in as a stray, so there is no information on her behavior history or tendencies in a home environment. She was very friendly during intake and allowed easy handling. Her finders were able to carry her to the care center without a carrier. She initially tried to hide around the finders, but was easily coaxed with food and toys. MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: Observed Behavior – easily handled, affectionate EVALUATION: Cage Condition: Cage is slightly re-arranged Reaction to assessor: Maisy was by the front and was calm, relaxed, and friendly. Reaction when softly spoken to: Maisy reaches out with her paws, soliciting attention. Reaction to cage door opening: Maisy greets the assessor by the opening. Reaction to touch: Maisy leans in for petting and begins to purr. She remains soft and rubs her cheeks against the assessor. Reaction to pick up: Maisy remains soft and licks the assessor’s nose. She looks around afterwards and continues to purr when held. ACTIVITY LEVEL: Moderate VOCAL: Quiet CHARACTER TYPE: Social, Affectionate, Sweet BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Beginner Maisy interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat can go to a beginner home.
