KEN – A1083128
Gone - 8-3-2016 Manhattan
**GONE 08/03/16** Tammy & Ken are two young kittens that have found themselves in the shelter system. They were once living outside and being fed but someone decided that bringing them to the shelter would somehow help them. Now Tammy & Ken are scheduled to die tomorrow. Both are a little nervous but earned respectable experience behavior ratings. Don’t let these babies die at ACC. Open your heart and home to Tammy & Ken!

08/01/2016 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Ken came into the care center as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. He has been timid since intake, and though he tolerates being touched without aggressing he actively avoids interaction and appears to be undersocialized. Reaction to assessor: Ken retreats immediately when the assessor kneels by his cage. Reaction to cage door opening: Remains at the back of the cage. Reaction to touch: Ken is momentarily curious when the assessor reaches toward him, but he quickly retreats again into a cardboard box at the back of the cage. He does not aggress when the assessor attempts touch but he moves his body to avoid the assessor’s hand. Placement determination: Experience Ken appears to be an undersocialized young kitten who is intimidated by human interaction. We recommend placement with an experienced adopter or foster who can work on socialization and providing positive experiences so Ken learns to trust the humans around him.
