Jakey is described as friendly, affectionate, shy around new people and quiet. He has a low activity level and likes to play with balls and laser pointers. In the home, he liked to stay in his favorite spot. Jakey was kept indoors only and is litter box trained. In the home, he used an uncovered litter box with clumping litter. Owner had a scratching post made of carpet in the home that Jakey liked to use frequently. He was fed dry food only brand Meow Mix.

Behavior during intake: Jakey has a soft and relaxed body during intake. Counselor was able to scan for a microchip, collar and take a picture without any issues.

Jakey was perched on top of his kuranda bed, but leaps down and approaches the front, meowing and rubbing on the cage door.

Jakey meows again and continues to solicit attention, reaching out with paws.

Jakey greets the assessor by the opening and head-butts immediately once door opens.
Reaction to touch:
Jakey accepts petting and nudges the assessor with his head. He leans in for rubs, purrs loudly, and continuously rubs against the assessor for attention.

Jakey remains calm and continues to rub against the assessor when held, purring.
