Socialization: Around strangers Goya Bean is shy for a few minutes and plays gently with adults. Goya Bean has never been around children so it is unknown how he will react to being around them. Goya Bean has lived with both cats and small dogs, around them he is relaxed and affectionate. Behavior: Goya Bean has never bitten another person or animal and has shown no concerning behaviors while at home. Goya Bean is calm while riding in a car and enjoys being given a bath. Goya Bean enjoys being given a bath and is not bothered when disturbed while resting/sleeping. Goya Bean is not bothered when someone trims his nails or brushes his coat but will struggles when being placed in a carrier. For a New Family to Know: Goya Bean is described as affectionate and confident with a medium activity level. When at home Goya Bean will follow around his owner and likes to play with wand toys. Goya Bean was kept indoors only and was fed both wet and dry food. Goya Bean is litter box trained and uses an uncovered litterbox with clumping litter. Goya Bean doesn’t scratch. Other notes: He isn’t bothered when someone trims his nails or brushes his coat but will struggles when being placed in a carrier. At home he follows around his owner and likes to play with wand toys. MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: Shy, quiet. Allowed all handling. EVALUATION: Cage Condition: Cage recently cleaned Reaction to assessor: Goya Bean was stress meowing at the front of the kennel with wide, dilated eyes. Reaction when softly spoken to: Goya Bean keeps his body lowered with his tail tucked under his body and seems very wary of his surroundings. Reaction to cage door opening: Goya Bean continues stress meowing Reaction to touch: Goya Bean immediately stepped out the kennel and didn’t seem interested in interacting with me. He’s wary with wide, focused eyes and meows softly as he explores his surroundings. He leans in when rubbed and appreciates attention, but does get startled with loud noises or quick movements. Reaction to being picked up: Goya Bean was a bit tense when picked up but remained calm in the assessor’s arms. ACTIVITY LEVEL: Mellow VOCAL: Talkative CHARACTER TYPE: Skittish, Sweet RECOMMENDATIONS: Experienced cat parent – Goya Bean may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.

Evidence of Cruelty seen – No. Evidence of Trauma seen – No. Objective: BARH. mm=pink, moist, CRT<2 s. HR=200, RR=28, BCS=5/9. ORAL: All adult teeth present, good dental condition. EENT: Eyes clear, ears clean, no nasal discharge noted. PLN: No enlargements noted. H/L: Lungs clear, no murmurs/arrhythmias. ABD: Non painful, no masses/organomegaly palpated. U/G: Neutered male. MS: Ambulatory x 4, no lameness. INTEG: Full, clean haircoat. No skin lesions or fleas. CNS: Mentation appropriate, no signs of neurologic abnormalities. A: Apparently healthy young adult cat. P: Excellent prognosis.
