SAFE 6/26/18 Dora was surrendered to the center because the owner stated that she cannot take care of her anymore. The owner’s son said that he would have kept her but his daughter is allergic. She has some scabs on her body from scratching and may have some dermatitis which should be checked by a vet after adoption. DORA is already spayed and needs a furever home now. Dora came in with a housemate.

Behavior Notes
The owner never tried giving her a bath or trimming her nails. She enjoys being brushed and picked up. She is not bothered when she is put in a carrier not when disturbed while sleeping.

She likes to play with balls and strings. She was kept indoors only. She used to sleep on a chair. She eats both wet and dry food and was fed three times a day. She is litter box trained and used a covered one with clumping litter. She had a scratching post but did not use it.

During the intake, Dora allowed the counselor to collar her and take the picture. She kept giving headbutts to the counselor in the process.

Oral Exam: adult dentition with moderate dental disease with oligodontia and some fractured teeth, no oral lesions noted
PLN: No enlargements noted
H/L: NSR, NMA, CRT < 2, Lungs clear, eupneic
ABD: Non painful, no masses palpated
U/G: FS (from Chameleon), no MGTs, no vulvar d/c
MSI: Ambulatory x 4, skin free of parasites, no masses noted, greasy hair coat with ~1cm area over the shoulders extending down the sides with hairloss and multiple small healing wounds that are scabbed over-appears consistent with o history of self inflicted
CNS: mentation appropriate – no signs of neurologic abnormalities
