Boylan was born in the home and has lived with the same family for four years now. He finds himself needing to start over so he can find love the second time around! He is a good boy who earned an AVERAGE HOME rating and has an urgent need to find a home. Boylan shouldn’t be destroyed because of housing issues OR a cold! 07/10/16 16:34 Boylan is a four year old orange and white tabby. He was surrendered by her owner due to owner moving to a facility that does not accept pets. Boylan was born in the home and was his owner since he was a kitten. Boylan has lived with one adult. He is shy around strangers and will hide when visitors come to the home, he takes several days to warm up to new people. He has not been around children or dogs. He lived with several other cats in the home and is described as relaxed and affectionate. He will engage in gentle play with adults. Boylan is litterbox trained and uses an uncovered litterbox and clumping litter. He was not bathed or had his nails trimmed by owner. He enjoys being brushed and will flee when held. His activity level is described as medium and he likes to sleep in his owners room. He was an indoor/ outdoor cat and owner stated he eats dry food Nine Lives brand. Upon intake Boylan was tense but allowed all handling, counselor was able to collar, scan and photograph.

Reaction to assessor: Boylan was sleeping at the back of the cage When spoken quietly: Boylan continues to sleep at the back of the cage Reaction to door cage opening: Boylan gets up, stretches and looks at the assessor calmly Reaction to touch: Boylan allows petting and attention Try picking cat up: Boylan is tolerant of this type of handling. Behavior Determination: Average At the time of the assessment Boylan was displaying calm behavior, did not come to the front of the kennel but interacts with the Assessor, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. Boylan is displaying behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
