Boogie was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. He appeared lethargic upon intake, but allowed the counselor to handle him throughout the intake. He also allowed the medical team to handle him during his initial medical exam, and was reported to be friendly during the process, purring when held. Reaction to assessor: Boogie was resting upon approach. Reaction when softly spoken to: Boogie looks at the assessor with soft eyes. Reaction to cage door opening: Boogie remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Boogie leans in softly for petting, begins to purr, and is very sweet throughout the interaction. Reaction to being picked up: Boogie remains soft and continues to purr when held. Behavior Determination: Beginner Boogie interacts with the Assessor, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat can go to a beginner home.
