ACTIVITY LEVEL: Steady VOCAL: Quiet CHARACTER TYPE: Timid MEDICAL BEHAVIOR: 7/12/17- Subjective: Quiet, sits in back of kennel, moves slowly, allows all handling with towel. ENRICHMENT NOTES: 7/12/17 At back of cubby, partially hidden behind bedding, eyes dilated. Lay in place when door opened. Held immobile when pet, gaze focused behind me. 7/13/17 Crouched at back of cubby, pressed into corner, eyes dilated, tense posture. Held immobile when pet, no response at all. EVALUATION: Cage Condition: No change Reaction to assessor: Bean remains tense body, tucked limbs with head down hiding in his cubby. Reaction to cage door opening: Bean stiffens up with eyes wide open, facing sideways at the back of the cage. Reaction to touch: Bean accepts the touch, but no response to the petting and remains immobile in place. BEHAVIOR SUMMARY: Bean may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
