Medical Summary 1/26/17 Sex: Male intact Scan: Negative Estimated age: 11 years as per previous owner (who has had pt since he was a kitten) – in very good condition for 11 year old cat! Fleas: No flea dirt. S: Calm, allows all handling O: BAR-H, BCS 7/9, MMs pink and moist EENT: Moderate black discharge AU, superficial excoriations caudal to right ear. No discharge OU, nose. Moderate tartar, severe gingivitis. PLNs: Not enlarged. H/L: NSR, NMA. Eupnic, quiet lung sounds. Abd: Soft, no pain on palpation, no masses palpated M/S/I: Amb x4. No skin lesions noted. UG: Male intact, testicles soft and symmetrical. A: 1. Ear mites – otherwise apparently healthy geriatric male cat!!! 2. Small excoriations caudal to right ear – R/O scratching at ear mites Short-term prognosis: Good Current surgery status: Permanent ACC waiver due to age. P: 1. Ivermectin 0.16 ml SQ during exam, repeat in 2 weeks 2. Clean ears during exam and q3 days x2 additional cleanings 3. CBC/chemistry to evaluate for any underlying conditions 1088
